This is the cost of replacing your vehicle with another of the same make, model, age, condition, mileage and specification (e.g. level of equipment).
If you’re not sure exactly how much your vehicle is worth, an approximate value is fine. In the event that your vehicle is written off you will be paid the lower of the 2 following amounts;
The market value of the vehicle prior to the incident
The valuation that you provided when the policy was taken out
Start Date of Cover
Tell us the date you’d like your policy to start. It’s worth checking when your current policy expires as otherwise there may be a gap, leaving you uninsured.
Please note: You can only select a cover start date within 30 days from today as most insurers will not let you buy a policy starting any later than this
No Claims Bonus
No claims bonus (NCB) is awarded for each year you hold taxi insurance in your own name. We only accept NCB that has been earned in the UK and from policies which expired within the last 2 years. You can transfer your NCD to an alternative vehicle but cannot use the same NCD on more than one vehicle or on another type of vehicle. Private car NCB cannot be used on a taxi policy. You will need to provide proof of your NCD you wish to use when taking out your insurance
